TechBBQ in Copenhagen was another tremendous success. The two-day event, held at the iconic ‘Lokomotiv Værkstedet’ on September 11-12, attracted more than 8,000 attendees, including startup founders, investors and industry leaders from around the world.
Pre-event highlights invluded Nordic IPO Day, Investor Day, and Health Tech Hub Copenhagen’s first investor pitch day at the Danish Industri Hus. The invite-only Investor Dinner, held at the historic Moltke’s Hus. Moltke’s Hus was originally built between 1700 and 1702 and predates the neighborhood by half a century. In 1842 it was renamed to Moltke’s Hus after the first Danish Prime Minister, Adam Wilhelm Moltke, acquired the house under the Danish constitutional monarchy.
What stood out this year was the growing international presence, with investors from the U.S. and beyond focusing on the booming Nordic startup scene. Everything from Startup Founders, Investors from the VC, Private Equity and Sovereign Fund world, politicians, policy advocates, influencers and many more.
As TechBBQ expands, it will be moving to the Bella Centeret in 2025 to accommodate its growing scale. While we’ll miss the charm of Lokomotiv Værkstedet, this move symbolizes the event’s rising global significance.
